THE APPLICATION OF MERCY

These images are an investigation into the influence of the Old Masters on today’s Contemporary Art, and how this history has influenced contemporary photographic practice; exploring the way the significance we place on historical Masterpieces in the history of Art, whilst existing in a technological world of photoshop and digital manipulation.

The works are a comment on contemporary photographic image making and the impermanence of digital art practice.
